With the METAL HEAD and its innovative PEC (Progressive Edge Cutting) technology, Alpen is ushering in a new era in metal drilling: instead of having a single continuous cutting edge, the METAL HEAD is fitted with three cutting edges, arranged in a sophisticated geometric configuration relative to one another, each of which, with its specific functions, optimises every stage of the drilling process.
The METAL HEAD thus enables precisely positioned drill holes with a round cross-section, reduces wear, prevents snagging as the drill bit exits the hole, and minimises burr formation to an absolute minimum. Drilling requires significantly less effort, extends the drill bit’s service life and enables faster work.
